Rock Hill SC - 2018

Hello, we arrived here at Ebenezer City Park in Rock Hill SC.  We plan on staying here from 2 - 6 Aug.  We finally finished our Blue Ridge Parkway adventure and now it's time to take a break and visit with Sarah, one of Terry's Navy friends.  The campground is nice and quiet...if you can ignore the really loud bugs.  I think they are louder than if we were right next to a freeway.  Anyway, it was a nice wooded campground, or at least the area we were at was.

Other than our visit with Sarah, the only other thing we did was a short hike on Nanny's Mountain (Not my Nanny, it was the name of the mountain.).  So let's talk about that.  The hike was a little less than two miles long.  Uphill of course.  It's a historical site trail.  So what was historic about it?  During the Revolutionary war, they mined iron ore and used it to make cannonballs, swords and round shot...according to the sign.  The picture to the right was the mine site and the picture to the left was the sign that said this.  This was about half way up the trail which ends at a picnic table.  Not much out here, just a place to stretch your legs I guess.

So after our rest, we headed to Soaring Eagle Campground in Lenoir TN.  See ya there!
