Lapeer - Terry - 1 - 2018

After leaving the Davison "Outdoor Adventures Lake shore RV resort", we headed to Terry's parents house and stayed in their driveway for a spell (from 28 Jun - 8 Jul).  It was a nice place!  They fed us and entertained us while we were there.  We only had electricity, in fact it was only 110 volts of electric, and we couldn't run our A/C or hairdryer (as Terry found out) or anything else but maybe a radio if we were lucky and it was only like 95 degrees and 100% humidity all the time, but still rate it as 5 stars. (of course i rated it that.  I'm not stupid!)

While we were here we went on a cruise, not as long as the last cruise in the Caribbean, but a cruise nevertheless.  We started in Port Huron with the "Huron Lady Cruises"  I believe they had a snack bar onboard, but since the cruise was only 1.5 hours, we figure we could starve until we got back.  The cruise itself took us a little ways down St Clair River and then back to the mouth of the river and into Lake Huron a bit, then back to port.  The cruise itself gave some info about different landmarks over the loudspeaker (recorded like memorex, not live).  Overall, it was ok, or great if you just love boat rides.  Here are some pictures we took on the cruise.

One of our other adventures was a trip to Terry's brother Bob's house.   During that trip, we stopped at a couple of water features to include a old time raft and a waterfall.  One of them was the Lumberman Monument.  Here are some pictures of that.

Bob told us he got some beef jerky at Northwoods outlet in Michigan.  They sell a 10 pound bag for about 30 bucks! and it's a soft really tasteful jerky too. Think of it as buying a pillowcase size of jerky.  But it looks like they sold out now, couldn't find it when I searched this last time.  But it doesn't hurt to look every once in awhile to see if they bring it back.  I know I will.

We then left Terry's parents house and headed to "Water Tower RV Park" for a couple of days to dump, laundry, and just get ready for the trip south.  That's right, we didn't have enough heat and humidity yet.

Terry's parents followed us down to Pegasus Farm Campground with an overnight stop at Lancaster Campground.  We didn't really do anything at the Water Tower campground or Lancaster campground so my next adventure will continue with Elkins WV.  We are staying at Pegasus Farm Campground there.
