After we left Spring Branch Texas, we headed back to Bandera Tx and stayed at Holiday Villages of Medina RV Park again (11-15 Nov). We didn't do much there other than just relax. We did go to there Bingo game on night and won 5 out of 8 of the games. When you start winning most of the games, you start to feel bad, but we didn't win the big pot, so I was good with that and it wasn't big pots anyway. $10 dollars here $7 there.
After Bandera, we headed to Mountain View RV Park in Van Horn Texas for a night (15-16 Nov) then on to Elephant Butte State park in Truth or Consequences New Mexico (16-20 Nov). This is where the story continues on.
We knew that they had areas to dry camp and that is what we wanted to do. New Mexico has a thing that if you pay $225, you can camp at any of the State park campgrounds for free if you don't use any services that is. If you want electricity, then it's $4 a day, and if you want sewer, then that's another $4 a day (Water for both are already included). So basically, for $8 a day, you can have full hookups if you like. So when we pulled in and headed to the boondocking area, we saw plenty of places to camp and because of that, we planted our butts right next to the lake with no one near us. Here are the pics for the camping area we got.
While we were here, we got to float our boat again, but didn't take any pictures this time. Other than that, we explored the area a little and then packed up and headed to Albuquerque NM for ThanksGiving with family. So come with us and I'll save you a seat...it might be outside, but it will still be a seat.
