St. Peters MO - 2018

After South Dakota, we headed south to warmer weather and to visit with one of Terry's Friends in St. Peters MO (just outside of St. Louis).  We stayed at 370 Lakeside RV park; it's a City park and was very nice.  We were here from 7 - 11 Oct.
The park itself had a large lake and some nice trails that went around the lake.  If we come back in this area again, we will probably stay here again.

Like I said, we were here to get warm and visit with Brenda, Terry's friend.  while there, we visited the St. Louis Arch and went to the top of it.  If you haven't had the chance to go to the top of the arch yet, then let me tell you the large pods you get to ride in to the top.  I think the pods are designed to hold I think 6 or maybe even 8 people.  I think the designed it back in the 700 B.C. timeframe, because it was very cozy with just 4 people in it.  Anyway, it a nice slow ride to the top.  The only window you get on the way up is the door window where you sometimes see the insides of the arch.  but once you get to the top, you can look out the little windows and see lots of stuff.  Here are the pictures of that adventure.

I did have a little mishap while parking the trailer.  I wanted to pull forward a little to straighten out the trailer so, I went to pull up behind this motorhome that was in front of me.  Who knew there was a car dolly right behind it.  So after I hit that little trailer, I said..."What did I hit????"  Luckily, the only damage to the dolly was a broken tail light the the fender was bent in a little.  I was able to straighten out the fender and replaced the light.  The owner was happy with that.

This is about all we did here, other than I had a mobile RV repairman come out to look at our auto leveling system and also to check out why our leveling jacks stop several times before completely retracting.  Came to find out the back two jacks were wired backwards...the left jack was plugged into the right side and vice versa for the right jack.  after that was fixed, we were able to finally use the auto level function of our jacks, and that is sweet!  As far as the jacks not coming up all the way, He thought it was either the Battery or the relay for it.  Since we were going to replace the battery when we get our solar installed, we decided not to worry about it at this time.

Well, we are off to Boyd state park in Loveland, CO next.  See you then.
