Quartzsite (2) AZ - 2019

Well, were back at Quartzsite for a few days (22-28 Jan) then off to Vegas for Terry's Birthday.  One of the reasons we came back to Quartzsite was because we made an appointment with a mobile repair tech to pack our trailer bearings and while we were here, the RV show was still on, so we decided to check that out too.

I had two reasons, well three really why I wanted to get the bearings done by this mobile tech.  One, he did a demo on how to pack bearings.  Being a mechanics son, I knew the main points on what to do, I just never did it before.  The second reason was it needed to be done and the third, I didn't want to get greasy.  The Tech's name is Colan Arnold with his email of colan@bzrvservices.com.  He travels around the country so if you have issues, he might be in your area...or not.  When he did my bearings, he stated everything looked great.  I also found out that my trailer had wet bolts already installed.  Who knew!  I didn't and wish I did.  You are supposed to grease the fittings every two thousand miles.  I guess I was 10,000 miles to late for that one.  But I will from now on...until they are replaced with something else, that is.

While we were at the RV show, we saw a portable Fire Pit.  I know what you're asking yourself now (I don't know why you would ask yourself, I have the answers.  You should ask me!), why would you want a portable fire pit?  Well, let me tell you.  For one, this pit is off the ground, which means you can get your feet under it to warm them up.  The whole thing is made out of aluminum so there is no chance of rust, and it's light.  Best thing is it folds up into a little bag for storage.  smaller than a chair bag.  One of the things that they said will be coming out is a propane addition to it so you can have a propane camp fire instead.  Now if that is also small, then I could get rid of our other gas fire pit.  It also has a heat shield that goes underneath to protect the ground in the areas that require that.  So we got it and let me tell you, it works great.  In fact, since we got it, that is the only fire pit we use when we have a wood fire.

We also picked up a couple of corn dogs and for dessert, Fried donut holes, and for Terry a funnel cake.  She was happy after that...since there isn't a vineyard in this area.

Well we're off to vegas!  You know the saying, what happens in vegas, stays in vegas.  I will see if i can sneak something out for y'all.
