Las Vegas NV - 2019

Well we rolled into Las Vegas and are staying just south of the strip at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort for a few days (28 Jan - 1 Feb).  They put us in a back in spot, which isn't normally an issue.  But at this park, it was an issue.  So much so, that if we ever stay here again, we will want a pull through.  The spots themselves were OK, a little cramped but OK.  The problem is the access road to the spot was just about as wide as my Truck.  So to get the RV in the spot, it took about 30 minutes and two watchers before I could get it in.  But we finally got it in.  The park itself, other than the spots being a little small, was a pretty good park. It had a lot of off-leash dog runs, a big swimming pool, on-site Cantina/cafe, and was guarded/fenced.   They even had an area for people that don't like animals to camp.

Well after we got all settled in, and laundry done (can't do that while boondocking),  we headed to the strip.  This is one of the few times we left the truck behind and hitched a ride with Uber.  We got dropped off at the Mandalay Bay Casino and to start off with our walk, picked up a couple of Strawberry Daiquiris.

So we wandered around the strip, waiting for our reservation time to have dinner.  That's right we are going to Hell!...Hell's Kitchen that is.  Now this isn't like the TV show, it's just a restaurant, but it has all the winners pictures, and the kitchen is painted red and blue.  On the way, we stopped and got a picture by the Blue Man Group's show.  Here is a picture of Terry, but when she took a picture of me, I think I broke the camera, so you only get her picture.  She then saw Batman's cousin.  So she needed a picture with him.  Then a stop to see the fountain show at Bellagio's.

We finally made it to Hell's Kitchen.  The food here was excellent!  We grabbed a couple of appetizers, then had our main entrees.  I got some kind of cheese balls or something like that and Terry got some bruschetta.  But before that, the chef sent out a amuse-bouche (fancy Appetizers).  Don't remember what that was, but it was good.  In the end, Terry got a nice dessert for her troubles.   After they rolled us out of the restaurant, we headed home.  Here are the pic's for this adventure. (Or you can click on the picture of Terry and I above.)

We took a couple more trips to town during our stay, but nothing to write about.  So with that said, we are off to Pahrump NV for a couple of weeks.  See ya there!.
