Lakeview RV Park, Lancaster OH

Lakeview RV Park in Lancaster OH.  As far as I can tell, the only issue with this park is in the sewage department.  You can dump your grey water, but have to have your black pumped out (If you want to call it that).   They told me this should be fixed next year.  So basically, you put your sewage hose in a hole in a piece of plywood that is covering a pipe with a hole in the side.  as your water drains into the plywood, it slowly drains into the open pipe.  Then on Monday's they come around and "Pump" out your black.  But what I saw was they pumped out the black water and the waste was left behind.  I will need a good black tank flush when I leave here!

Ok, enough with that, the park itself is nice, even though it is a working campground too.  Like I mentioned before, people go to work at 6 in the morning around here.  They have a nice size lake on the property with another lake (not theirs) on the other side of our campsite.  You can fish (catch and release), swim, boat (paddle), scuba dive I guess, and water jet ride (for a lack of a better word. check out the link.)  There is a train track nearby, but you don't hear the train that much, I heard it twice I think.  The space between the RVs was average.  I did read in the reviews that the owner was a grumpy old man, but I never saw him.  If they got the sewage fixed, I would come back here.

Pros:

  • Lake
  • Quiet
  • Good location

Cons:

  • sewage
  • working campground
