So our next long stop is going to be in Randle, WA, but before we get there, we have a few stops in between. So let's talk about them. Our first stop after leaving Colorado is in Marriott-Slaterville UT at the Wasatch View Ranch. This is one of those Harvest Hosts places I mentioned last time. We parked in the back along side the fence. Nice little ranch, it had horses and cows. Looks like they even had an area to break in horses, but nothing was being broke while we were there. Normally, when you stay at one of these places, they like for you to visit the tasting room and maybe buy a bottle of wine for the road, but since this was a ranch and not a winery, we didn't spend any money this time.
The next day we left and headed to Huston Vineyards in Huston ID (another Harvest Hosts place). This also was a nice place and we had our own area behind the tasting room to park our rig. Since this was a Vineyard, Terry partook in some wine sipping/buying.
When we awoke and got ready, we headed to Hermiston OR and stayed at the Pioneer RV Park for a couple of days (17-19 Aug 2019). But this trip wasn't uneventful, we lost the End Cap to our front Awning. So we had to make a run to the TRI-Cities in Washington (about 30 miles away) to a RV repair shop/dealer. They actually had the part we needed in stock. Cool. We planned on staying here so we/I can meet up with some of my friends from childhood (I graduated Highschool here), but it must of been a bad time for them so we just hung out and got some pizza from my favorite pizza joint. The place moved, but I found them. We also checked out the McNary Dam to see if any fish was running up river (Nope) and did a tour (self-guided) of the dam. Here are some pictures of that. Scratch that, pictures weren't allowed on the inside, so just imagine big round generators lined up in a row generating power.
Well we are off to Randle WA now. See you there, and don't forget to pack a raincoat!
