While we were here, we went on a couple of hikes in and around the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. On one of the trails, a hiker said he saw a bear on the other side of the river, but scared it off. Sure enough, it wasn't around anymore. Figures. It was some good hikes though. Here are the pictures for that.
We made a little jaunt up to Taylor park, TinCup and Crested Butte since we were in the area. Not a lot of pictures for that, but this is the pictures we did take.

Let's see what else did we do...oh yeah, we went fishing. We pulled out our "3" man inflatable fishing kayak and hit the water. It's a Sea Eagle 38ft kayak if you were interested. It really only fits two short people like me and Terry. When we were in the Loveland area, we even picked up a fishfinder to help us get fish. It must have worked, because we caught our limit of trout on both days we went fishing. Funny story, after the first day of fishing, when loading the boat back on the truck, I took the removable skid (it's the fin on the bottom of the boat to help you go straight.) from the boat and put it on the bumper while we were loading. Guess what we never saw again...that's right, the skid. So on the second day, when we tried to paddle like normal, we just went into circles. After a little giggle, we paddled slower. We still was able to catch our limit though. Terry said she caught the biggest fish, but we all know I'm the one that really did (in my dreams, of course).
While we were here, we ordered a cover for our griddle. Amazon said it would arrive on Friday which worked out for us since we were leaving on Sunday. Guess what, Amazon said it was delivered but the UPS guy never actually delivered it until the following Monday. I asked for them to send it back and then found out a couple of months later that they just sent it back to UPS office. Eventually, I got my money back.
Well that's about it for Gunnison, heading to Olathe and then Palisade for a Grand Design Rally. Peace out!
